Style Guides - Each Island

Here is the first pass of each island's style guide pages. The first page features the concept art and color palette, while the second page features some foliage examples as well as the effects that would be required.

Updating style guide

This week we are starting to put together a rough draft of the style guide to get some feed back from the faculty. Next week we will finalize it.

Been using life unfolds style guide as starting point to how we make ours.

Our main characters are the Whale and Kouneli. We are thinking of adding more so we are leaning more towards Disney side of animation. Bambi style for the Kouneli and Fantasia for the whale. We want the bigger more majestic creatures to have a more realistic feel while the characters you interact with have more customized to fit their character description. We want the Kouneli to start off scared and timid of you but still curious and from his curiosity he becomes more friendly as you go from island to island.

These 3 art styles were our art team's early favorites. We ultimately chose surrealist digital painter "RHADS" Cheboha as our main style influence, but our style still borrows a bit from all 3 of these.
